This is a genuine Mercury Marine ignition coil removed from a Mercury 50HP two-stroke outboard during dismantling.

The coil is marked 5748, with the HT lead intact and the body in good used condition. The small exposed wire visible on the side of the coil is part of the original factory construction and is present on both coils removed from the engine.

Suitable for replacing failed ignition coils causing weak spark, intermittent misfires or no spark.

Please study all photographs carefully and compare the 5748 marking with your existing coil before ordering, as Mercury fitted several ignition systems across different production years.
